What I liked
As a sometimes Uber driver myself, I found these stories spot on. The details and quirks of the experiences lined up with my own. Letting people into you car, thus into your world is at first very strange. But it’s also strange how wonderful people can be when you open up to them. It’s a terrific experience… until the sense of entitlement hovers down over the general expectation.
This smartly crafted and performed one driver show led us through the highs and lows of this experience. But the performer did a terrific job of closing the show with energy and hope, leaving us excited and satisfied, even though we see that the state of our society is pretty dismal.
What I didn't like
I could use an extra Lift coupon. Nice touch. And savvy!
My overall impression
Bravo!! Excellent stories. Terrific storyteller. The guy knows how to engage an audience. Plus he weaves a deeper more troubling story underneath his stories of his strange new job and his painful split with his girlfriend – the story of how our society’s sense of community and kindness is deteriorating.
