This was one of the smarter shows I saw. Perhaps too smart. I realize that shows have a limited running time, but this one could have stood to breathe a little more, to let the actors inhabit more, to let the words sink in more. The script was very full and well-researched. Hopefully the overall theme hit home. It would make a great full-length play with the lead role set up for the actor playing it to soak up the spotlight and land some blows....

How does one tell a story from the perspective of a historical figure? Especially if the story is about a hermitic life, which means that there are many private moments that must be imagined or extrapolated from other sources? This piece accomplishes that....
