Unique and clever concept, with first-rate special sound effects.
What I didn't like
Too much of a bad thing!
My overall impression
I clocked this at 45 minutes, not the 65 which is advertised—-but that’s OK, because enough IS enough! A “children’s-show” concept, smartly subverted to non-stop mayhem, veering between vile and vulgar, wears out its welcome, no matter how adept the cast (very!) or how attractive the mounting. The real STAR is not ON the stage but in front of it: Ryan Beveridge, the “foley artist” who orchestrates and melds sound effects and a few musical instruments into a river of aural accompaniment on which the show glides and crests. Novel, but not for the tasteful.
