I saw I Am Vertical last night with friends and loved it!
There is a possibility you'll live Michaela's emotional pain, then emotional agony. She reminds us who've felt so much of it, how we've had to laugh in order not to break.
You'll see Michaela weep. Then she'll take a moment to talk to a yellow puppet (her show is also very very hilarious).
Michaela is as brilliant as she is beautiful, and I left feeling hopeful for humanity in all that we suffer, as well as transcend.

A powerful play that will speak to anyone who has ever struggled with loneliness, depression or perhaps even addiction. The best part is this isn't a downer of a play, this is inspiring and touching and beautiful. There is hope in these tales, there is a dignity to the stories even amongst the undignified. It is such a refreshing take on subjects of this kind and it's bold attitude made it such a great experience....

Myers takes the audience on such a layered and nuanced ride through the coping of one's mortality that it's hard to believe only 45 minutes have gone by. I can't recommend seeing this show enough- this is a performer and creator to watch out for! ...
