This play is brutally honest in a way that manages to be simultaneously laugh-out-loud funny and deeply poignant. I found myself laughing and crying along with Terri and cheering along with her message of self-love and empowerment. Terri's story is one that resonates in many ways with anyone who has ever tried to "make it" in LA, anyone who has every been told they aren't good enough, that they don't look right, that they don't/won't/can't fit into the arbitrary cookie cutter mold of "beauty" or "success." Terri's retelling of her journey is inspirational, brave, touching and beautiful and her message is both reaffirming and empowering.
