What I liked

Bridgit King, Caitlin Rigney, and Todd Levin give very strong performances as siblings and brother in-law. The family dynamic was palpable. You could feel the history of hurt and resentment. The dinner scene was wonderful and made me ill from the tension.

What I didn't like

It could have been that particular show, but there were timing issues with some of the other cast that felt awkward.

My overall impression

A relentlessly sad look at a family that is trapped somewhere between hope and grief. We follow Johnny May as she comes home for the seventh year in a row to a family that blames her for the loss of the prodigal son. Only by letting go will she begin to live again.
