What I liked
Fantastically clever lyrics,brilliant multi-talented performers, great Broadway voices, keystone cops hilarity, all to live music on stage in a little band that is charmingly involved. Loved the low tech charm — signs for where a scene is set held by a person with attitude — so fetching. Loved the subtleties — like the times when a character would turn the blind girl in the right direction — just in passing.
What I didn't like
I am a picky person and there wasn’t anything to pick!
My overall impression
One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Genius direction to get it all working. Hate to see any diminishment of what is such a good time, and take issue with critical comparisons as if this show doesn’t measure up. Just getting everyone in and out of costumes and on and off the stage was some kind of mastery. Am overcome by wanting to help them continue it.
