"The Art of Falling Down" directed by Megan Gomez and starring Porsche Faria-James and Maddie Moen is a piece that will leave you standing up to applaud the beautiful efforts put forth into bringing this show to life. The show asks the important question "What would you sacrifice for your art?" Along with showing the ups and downs that one experiences when in the field of Art. A beautifully truthful piece, Maddie and Porsche aren't afraid to give everything they are into their characters; Aptly named the Musician and Painter. Maddie, Porsche, and Megan did a beautiful job of creating and bringing life to this charming piece about what it means to be an artist and what it means to be a woman. They had me laughing, crying, and sitting on the edge of my seat in wonder. I would absolutely recommend this to all Fringe participants, and I would recommend to myself to see it again! A beautiful exploration of self worth and survival. Is believing in ourselves enough? Maddie Moen's staccato quirks played against Porsche James' languid delivery wonderfully. This play reminds us that we do matter and with the simplest of effort, we can effect each others lives whether we realize it or not. ... full review
