I was really attracted to the concept and the main point about the whales in an amusement park. I was interested in seeing where it went. Technically, it’s great. The actors are wonderful. I especially loved the sister, she’s fantastic.
What I didn't like
I feel the show is falsely advertised – I was expecting a much more dramatic climax and something more politically charged, I suppose. It’s a love story – or, if it’s not, everything else was overshadowed by a kind of rushed and unnecessary love story. Personally, that doesn’t work for me – just give me a drama about corporations and mistreatment of the whales and a heroic lead, she doesn’t need to fall in love to fix her problems.
My overall impression
I recognize that my fairly negative review is completely a matter of personal taste and preference, so if you’re not like me and not bothered by love stories, the show is very very good and I’d absolutely recommend it.
