What I liked
Original and inventive. Funny stories. Well read by professional actors. Thoroughly enjoyed them all. Can’t even pick out a favorite short because they were ALL just delicious. What an imagination!
Also loved that I saw this on Father’s Day and Charlotte’s dad was in the audience and she paid tribute to him as the one who got her started writing her stories - she’d have to write him a short in order to play her Nintendo game! From this discipline emerged a fantastic, creative writer.
What I didn't like
Nothing. Charlotte is the real deal.
My overall impression
If you want funny and (short) short stories with a real kick, read by some amazing actors, this is the Fringe show for you! I love great storytelling so “Charlotte’s Shorts” is my kind of jam. My first experience with Charlotte Dean and I enjoyed the show so much I am going to check out her website for more of “Charlotte’s Shorts”! Brava!
