What I liked

great script, apt direction, stellar cast

What I didn't like

it ended

My overall impression

writing was tight, direction was spot on, performances were all fantastic—stand-outs for me were Schoen Hodges as affable Detective Duff, Sarah Haworth as femme fatale Grace, Michael Onofrio as sleazy Big Daddy, and Alli Miller as foxy songbird Jane. a perfect spoofy noir with elements of burlesque thrown in for good measure (the gorgeous and uber-talented ladies of Cherry Poppins never disappoint). it’s a fast-paced, twisty romp that keeps the laughs and 30s/40s noir references coming but never makes you feel like you’ve missed something.

keep a lookout for Hodges’ excellent opening monologue, any of Miller’s feisty musical numbers, the “car scene” (incredible), and especially the fishy dream sequence (featuring a dazzlingly hilarious Kelly Stevenson) that will have you rolling with laughter.

put this one on your list of must-see shows for Fringe ‘16—you don’t want to miss it!
