What I liked

John W. McLaughlin (btw: eye candy!) acts the role of Mark, who has a secret, with a powerful impact. I wanted to dislike the Mark character until I found out his secret. Cutie Amir Levi, playing Mark’s partner, doesn’t know Mark’s secret which sends him through a range of emotions, along with the audience, because of Levi’s skillful acting. Tara Morris — perfect for the part, as if she walked out of 1910 — gives a compelling performance. The comic relief provided by Etienne Eckert kept me laughing with her portrayal of a tense neurotic realtor who is complex. I thought the physical comedy worked – it’s not easy pulling that off on stage. John Wuchte plays a perfect love-to-hate-him guy with a solid performance. I was really impressed by the strength that Elizabeth Ellson was able to give to the character of Amy, which in my humble opinion was the strongest character in the story.
This is an interesting and clever way to address some of society’s taboo topics that nobody wants to talk about and we should be talking about them. The writing is so important and Tony Foster took some chances and pulled it off in stellar play.

What I didn't like

I would have liked the story to go a little deeper into some back stories, I guess be longer.
Maybe have a second act.
I would like to know more about Rebecca and Amy’s relationship and how that developed.
I would like to see more of Charles’ and Rebecca’s relationship deteriorate.

My overall impression

The casting and acting was spot on. I didn’t know what to expect - well, actually I thought it was going to be a Victorian era play…and boring, but I was totally wrong. Turns out it’s a progressive, time traveling, crisscross house of mayhem! The topics of relationships/love/health are looked at from unique perspectives in a witty yet sensitive way. There’s some twists and turns so be ready to be impressed.
I saw the preview and I can’t wait to go back and see the show again.
