My overall impression
La Puerta Abierta is a strongly acted, deeply felt little gem. It’s performed in Spanish, although don’t let that deter you. I speak little Spanish and had no trouble following the story, thanks to the clear staging and well etched roles (and a short synopsis). The show deserves a bigger audience. Get off of Santa Monica Boulevard and discover it.
