My overall impression
If you have seen the King of Kong documentary, then definitely go see this! It’s a solid production with good singing – when I could hear Lauren Van Kurin, her voice was lost quite a bit in the loud piped-in music – high energy and actors who have a thorough understanding of parody. If you have never seen the documentary, you will probably miss out on about 80% of the jokes. It is a solid piece, so there will be aspects to enjoy, but this is definitely intended for an audience already familiar with the movie.
