Okay, I'll be honest. I didn't set out to see this show. The show I was going to see was sold out so I wondered into King Of Kong. SO glad that I did! HILARIOUS! I saw the documentary, but my husband hadn't and we both loved this show. I'm now a huge fan of Lauren Van Kurin & Brendan Hunt - I'll be keeping an eye out for there rise to stardom!! Super fun!!!!... full review

Gloriously daffy and brilliantly performed, King of Kong is a marathon at sprint pace. The numbers capture the story whether or not you've seen the documentary. The duo are top notch, shifting styles and characters with ease. It is a giddy delight.... full review

Hilarious, loopy and ridiculously entertaining! The original documentary's truth-is-stranger-than-fiction aesthetic is turned up to eleven and set to a charmingly retro rock/pop score that mixes fist-pump anthems, electro-synth dance jams, and movie-closing-credit duet ballads. Both Lauren and Brendan are exhaustingly joyful to watch, and the endless quick-changes and clever pacing show off their amazing skills; they obviously love the material and it loves them right back. So much 1980s arcade fun, all that's missing is the smell of nachos and popcorn (and desperation). ... full review

Wow... And here I thought the documentary was pinnacle of video game WTF-ness. But no... King of Kong: A Musical Parody knocks its 8-bit socks off! Hunt and Van Kurin burn up the stage (and some backstage quick change space) with this fast paced, hilarious show. If you've ever wanted to leave a show humming a song about butt wiping - this is it!! Loved it!... full review

Cheeks are sore today from last night's show! There isn't a moment to rest your face your either laughing hysterically or smiling from ear to ear. Brilliant! Ridiculous talent on that stage! ... full review

I was looking for something to do in my neighborhood and looked for something Fringe. Right when I saw the King of Kong a musical parody, I knew that it would be lots of fun. It's based on the quirky and funny documentary King of Kong. From the get go, the cast and songs brought the laughs, many of them big, and it was just a whole lot of fun. The audience had a blast. I was pretty amazed by the very talented cast, Lauren Van Kurin and Brendan Hunt. Just amazing, hilarious, funny, so talented. Van Kurin is just tremendous. There is no one working in Hollywood comedies that has such impeccable comedic timing. She is just a comedic wonder, singing, dancing, playing multiple character to big laughs. Loved her! Just a fully fantastic... full review

This is clearly the best show of the Fringe. This may be the best show outside the Fringe. This could be the best show of the year. The only thing that's amiss is trying to comprehend why this show isn't playing to sold out houses on Broadway and winning Tony awards. ... full review

This show requires a lot of energy from its two actors - and they deliver it in spades. Hunt's vocals were particularly impressive. But as a show, this is what we would get if instead of 10 minutes, Lorne Michaels gave his skit comedians 50 minutes. Only it would be much better in 10.... full review

This was a very funny two person musical that I greatly enjoyed. My one issue was that they started 10 minutes late, which can be an issue if you're seeing another show right afterward.... full review
