My overall impression
MB Stage nailed it this year with The Video Games and California Kiki. Congrats to everyone involved. How could one not like The Video Games?! The actors drew you in right from when you enter the line to see the performance. You are greeted by your childhood favorites who are rallying for votes. The technical aspects of the show helped create the world these characters lived in for that 60 minutes. Yoshi on keys was my favorite thing ever and I loved having live accompaniment playing the songs I know all too well. Seeing actual costumes and actual makeup just added to the amazingness that the show is. The actors were so invested and I felt bad when someone died. I wish I could have saved them all. Major kudos to creators. JP as Mario was EVERYTHING!!!!
