The standout is Allie Costa as Annie. See it for the fun of it but without high performance expectations and you’ll have a great time. It’s perfect Fringe material....

Last year’s must #SeeItLA, "Alien Vs. Musical" returns with a 90 minute full-length version.
The music and lyrics are masterfully composed by Erik Przytulski, for example the first song performed by Harold (Nick Emmett McGee) of "The Music Man" could have been a trunk song (a song that didn’t make a production’s final cut) written by Meredith Willson – if the subject matter wasn’t about aliens. The creature design by Steve Troop is just as magical as last year. Plus, the book written by Przytulski and Troop shows a deep understanding of musicals and makes a hilarious parody. The battle between alien and musical theater characters continues at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival as the infamous musical Alien Vs. Musical is back with a new and extended version. Creators Erik Przytulski and Steve Troop have developed a piece that’s both the product of the edgy parodies that the Hollywood Fringe Festival is known for and something they each love: aliens and musicals. Everything is calm, even perfect in Musical-land. All your favorite Broadway characters including, Elpheba, Annie, Maria, Danny Zuko and many others live in perfect harmony, literally. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Elder Price from Book Of Mormon gets the life sucked out of him by a Xenomorph, from Alien. Wait, what did you just say? You heard right. This is Aliens Vs. Musical. After taking home the audience voted Best Musical Award at last year’s Hollywood Fringe, AvM returns with an extended version promising more gags, songs and fun. For me, it just went on a little too long.
Annie, played by Allie Costa, is beyond superb. A knockout performance. She fully encapsulates the character with more truth and cut than any ot...

Alien Vs. Musical is a really fun show with great music and a unique story. It's so neat to see so many beloved musical theatre characters on stage at the same time. Allie Costa is perfectly cast as Annie and puts her all into the role. It is worth seeing this show for her phenomenal performance alone!...
