Four Clowns took the vaudeville show and turned it upside down, making for a show that was outrageous fun! Kudos!... full review

This show was my favorite comedic ensemble piece in the Fringe this year! From the moment the clowns give the curtain speech to turn off your cell phones to the very last curtain call, I could not stop laughing. I especially loved the production design and feel of the show. This show is excellently done with wonderful clowning by adept actors, impressive acrobatics, and hysterical writing. I loved every minute of it! The entire cast was extraordinary, but I must say the brother and sister duo were my favorite. Great musical numbers, lovely live singing, committed performances all around. I can't remember laughing that hard at a show...I felt like I was watching a live Mel Brooks film. GO SEE THESE WONDERFUL CLOWNS AND SEE WHAT ALL OF ... full review

So grateful I got a chance to live in the world of this show for an hour. Brilliantly hilarious, charmingly sweet, and with surprising notes of deep pathos, Halfwits' becomes a wonderful physical experience for its audience. We find ourselves emotionally connected to the characters, rooting for their successes and relating to their hilarious failures. I'm coming to see the show again. And I'm sitting in the front row again.... full review

Jeremy Aluma already deserves a lifetime achievement award for all he and his band of clowns have accomplished at the Hollywood Fringe (and beyond.) For the last five years, he has successfully used the fringe laboratory to birth brain crushing clown revolutions, dashing expectations and wooing believers - Halfwits Last Hurrah is no less of a worthy offering from his mind-blowing troupe. There is so much to love in this show...every character, and even have my pinnacle character, my stand out clown that rang laughter from me like a golden bell...but I am trying to hold my cards to my chest at the moment. Suffice to say, go out of your way to see Halfwitts. It's a gift.... full review

So there I was... Fully anticipating an evening filled with buzzers, bright-colored clothing, red noses, make-up and high-pitched voices all laughing directly in my face cuz' they think their antics are funny and amusing when you're actually making me loath clowns even more...if that’s possible? However, I couldn't have been more wrong as the night proved to be a worthwhile ride! The Halfwit's Last Hurrah was not only none of the previously mentioned possibilities that haunts our sub-conscious minds with the thought of clowns, but rather a fun time that may touch your heart and tickle your funny bone all without the use of fangs or abductions (see the original Poltergeist film, read Stephen King's IT or Google John Wayne Gacy and you'... full review

Four Clowns have made their triumphant return to the Hollywood Fringe with The Halfwits’ Last Hurrah, their deliciously naughty, delightfully silly, fabulously entertaining tribute to old-time vaudeville and burlesque … and there’s not a clown suit in sight. Wow, Four Clowns is absolutely phenomenal! I have never seen a Four Clowns show before (I know, shame on me!), but boy am I glad I got to see this one. I plan on seeing many more of their shows in the future, the group is that amazing. I was completely captivated from start to finish during The Halfwits' Last Hurrah, and I didn't want it to end! The ensemble works incredibly well together and there's never a dull moment. To me, this show perfectly embodies what The Hollywood Fringe is all about. Many congrats to all involved! ... full review

Prior to attending the final performance of the Halfwits’ Last Hurrah, I had heard nothing but wonderful things about the show. By the time I got to experience it for myself, my already high expectations were exceeded by leaps and bounds. The show was so many things and more- engaging, charming, well paced, well executed, and, of course, comedic in all the right ways. I couldn’t name one actor onstage that didn’t give it their all or even one single mishap during this captivating experience. From the moment I started walking into the theater, I was completely brought into the hilarious and lighthearted world that was so specifically created. This production was absolutely my favorite of any I had seen this season at the Hollywood Fringe. I c... full review
