Beautiful in the most heart-shattering way. This piece is an exploration of love, friendship, life and death. Weaving together a poetic narration with a slice of the lives of two best friends played by Devereau Chumrau and Tania Verafield. Both actresses give the audience a look into a friendship that is surviving against all odds. The vulnerability of the text made personal by the ensemble has you feeling robbed and out of breath when the lights come up. A must see! I had no idea what to expect, seeing this show. The house was full of large, cushy pillows for the audience to lounge upon, rather than seats. The stage was lit by the warm glow of string lights. Wine and treats were handed out beforehand. It felt like I was going to a poetry jam. What I beheld instead was one of the most sincere, beautiful and intimate stories about friendship and the bonds between us that I've ever seen.
