My overall impression

Beautiful in the most heart-shattering way. This piece is an exploration of love, friendship, life and death. Weaving together a poetic narration with a slice of the lives of two best friends played by Devereau Chumrau and Tania Verafield. Both actresses give the audience a look into a friendship that is surviving against all odds. The vulnerability of the text made personal by the ensemble has you feeling robbed and out of breath when the lights come up. A must see! A beautiful communal experience that is inviting as soon as you walk into the door. The world created by Director Jessica Salans explores the depth of the human connection and the intimacy of it puts the audience in the right mindset (the specificity and cleverness of the staging: the audience lounges on cushions and blankets, passing around a plate of cheese and indulging in some wine). Soundly is a very delicate story that becomes a powerful theatrical experience.
