My overall impression

Abie Bowman is a very intelligent comedian who enjoys tapping into the deep psyche of man to see what’s funny. In Sex Lies and the KKK, there’s a lot. His starting point was to interview members of the KKK as they reacted to the election of Barack Obama, which in itself gives you an idea of the boldness and determined curiosity of Abie Bowman. The result is a collection of questions and conclusions that stimulate the audience’s own thinking, in between the outbursts of laughter. His rapid-fire delivery and charming Irish accent are a plus. Although Sex Lies and the KKK is still a work in progress(he performed some material with his notebook in his hand), and some of his ideas come close to ground that Eddie Izzard has already covered, Abie Bowman has a bright future.
