My overall impression
“Why Water Falls” is quite astonishing. First, in its honesty, it cuts into us with enormous emotional affect. Wonderfully structured and balanced. it takes you through the life of a writer with a couple of recalcitrant characters living within her. Each of these three characters is specific and defined, and the way in which Leigh Curran bounces between all three of them manages to make us howl with laughter and then weep within minutes of each other. Of all the shows I saw in this year’s Fringe Festival this is the one that stands out for me.
