My overall impression
This show is incredible!! I’ve seen it twice, and I’ll see it again. First of all, kyla is an incredibly talented writer and actor. I don’t want to give away anything in this review, but throughout the night you see kyla showcase her abilities. She moves from one character to the next with ease, goes into short, yet powerful poetic monologues, and is even able to improvise. She keeps the audience engaged by allowing for some participation. As for the show itself. It’ll make you laugh, cry, angry, hopeful and grateful. This play has it all and at all the right moments. You MUST see the mermaid, at least once, but probably twice. Enjoy!
