I stumbled upon this show due to the Fringe app and it was the happiest accident. I literally walked into another world. This cast is extraordinary. They epitomize the word ensemble. Every movement, every interaction, every look at the audience, every single moment is 110% lived in and authentically experienced. I connected so much with this piece. It left me feeling moved, inspired, melancholy and joyful all at once. It felt like a glimpse inside the human experience. This show was my absolute favorite ensemble piece at Fringe this year. This beautiful movement-dance piece directed by Sam Szabo and Samantha Shay, is wonderfully inventive and stunning. The ensemble of eight moves with great control and dexterity and have expressive and engaging facial expressions. Although there’s not much of a story line here (and when you think you have some sort of a narrative it changes pace completely), the sheer beauty of the piece washes over you and is incredibly interesting to watch. Again, the ensemble’s focus and dedication must be praised. The use of flashlights as the bulk of the lighting creates a sensational effect of being lost in the forest. It took my breath away and then gave me new breadth. The ensemble was pitch perfect-from the beginning they took me on a ride and never let me go. The ability to harness silence before releasing/giving it away is not an easy task & they did it with a fervor power. It is my favorite piece of fringe and is a Must See! It was powerful and I shall not be forgetting the feeling it gave me, taught me, gave me cause for pause a long while.
