My overall impression

This was a great show, very intriguing and dramatic. The storytelling was my favorite part… At the end of the show when all the actors came to the stage I was surprised when only four people were standing in front of me. During the show Eddie speaks of relatives; as well as Charlie, speaking of her parents. The relationships they have and stories they tell about these people build such strong images and paint a fantastic picture for you, that at the end of the show you expect those characters to be standing there with them. Even in the first scene the character Nat is described with a simple hand gesture about his hair. You never actually see Nat in the play, but you have a distinct image of him whenever spoken about. The way that they portray every location and scene change also added to this, whether it was a studio apartment in New York, or a quaint coffee shop in a corridor near a college in the winter, I loved being able to create these spaces in my head; it was unlike any other live performance I’ve seen.
