It’s a jam packed show full of surprise. There is literally never a dull moment. Just as you think you know what’s happening and another joke (hilarious jokes by the way) is on its way, a toy boat appears and and fills the theatre with pathos as a father and son try mightily to bridge the gap between them. A father and son, I might add, played by fingers and yet somehow not in the least bit silly.
It’s a fast 70 minutes of truth and it’s theatrical to the hilt. Richard wrote a winner.
