"The Last Remnants Of Cops, Robbers And Hollywood Cowboys" is a really interesting group of monologues taken from Tom Cavanaugh's experiences in LA. I thought the entire piece was extremely well-written and I enjoyed the performances by the diverse cast of actors. I do hope that this show can be expanded on, because I feel it has a lot of potential and I'd love to see it be made into a full-length play (the stories are that good!). Side note: the goodie bags handed out at the end of the show were a wonderful touch and showed all of us audience members that Tom and his cast were thinking about us. This is what Fringe is all about!...

This show brought back memories of the conversations, and warnings that I heard when I informed people of my interest in moving to Los Angeles myself. I really liked meeting all of the characters. Most importantly, the show served as a reminder of how fun life can be once you open up to what life offers you (people & all)...sensibly though :).
I would love to see the show again, in a few, to see how it has developed over time....

GREAT writing and a good cast in this evening of musings on connections with Los Angelinos - but is really a meditation on the things in life that make us "alive." A strong authorial voice spread across the acting and vocal styles of unique performers! Check it out!...

Interesting "tales of the city" piece with some very strong performances. Definitely worth seeing.
My fantasy, in terms of the evolution of this piece: I'm more of a "show rather than tell" fan, so would like to see the author experiment with letting each actor BE the character they're describing. What you actually have here is a 1 man show in disguise as a series of monologues. Not 100% sure the strategy deployed to move the storytelling from page-to-stage is as strong as the stories themselves. So I'd love to see the treatment again (Fringe next year?!?), where the playwright gives us the people--the characters--speaking for themselves…direct storytelling rather than everything coming in 2nd hand. ...

I went in not really knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by these well written and well delivered monologues. It felt more like listening to stories from friends, natural, engaging, rich, which I think is the point. A very enjoyable evening of theatre packed into a taut 45 minutes. Can't go wrong with that!...

Had know idea what to expect when we went into this show and was pleasantly surprised! The small vignettes of the various and eclectic stories performed by the diverse and talented cast were both entertaining and engaging. The writing was sharp and delivered in an intimate and inviting way. Well done! ...

Ugh, every review on this site is positive! Which means that when you want to leave a real review of a show that is good, it isn't real (How LA!)
Speaking as someone mentioned in the show, from a real Los Angeles family who has been pushed outside of the city limits. I was born at the same hospital in Torrance as my father and we moved to Simi Valley when I was 8. This show captured a lot of what I view LA as, fun and exciting, but also the people are too wrapped in their lives to care about others.
I would highly recommend this show as a great piece of the Hollywood Fringe Festival....

Tom Cavanaugh has created a great Fringe experience here. 45 minutes of well crafted monologues deftly acted by several well cast actors who appeared to be talking right to me and from the heart. Like New Yorkers would. And being a New Yorker, it made me a little homesick. So if you're looking for something well written, entertaining, and filled with heart, there ya go.
