Take me out to the theater! Double Play is delightful. This witty comedy clips along at the pace of a fluttering heart not sure if it's going to take flight or fight for love. Don't let the baseball theme fool you. Sports fans and sports skeptics (like me) will find Double Play an enjoyable and touching ride. Terrific writing and a charming cast. I can't wait to see Act Two!...

Let me reiterate what another reviewer has already said: you don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy this show! (Because I am not a sports fan, and I did enjoy it.) I thought both the acting and the writing in this show were excellent. The pacing of how the relationship between the two characters takes shape was very believable. There was one especially strong monologue by the female character, Rosalie, that I particularly enjoyed. Be warned that the show is only Act ONE of a two-act play. And once you see the first act, you WILL be curious to see the second....

Double Play is devilishly witty and clever. The jokes had me in tears, and the underlying poignant message of the story, so effortlessly brought to life by amazing actors, also choked me up. I loved this play, and would be thrilled to see the second act....

A friend took me to see Double Play last week and we both LOVED it. Hilarious and moving, what a combo. Well cast, well acted and extremely well-written. A home run to be sure. Play Ball!...
