My overall impression
We went there to see and support Daniele Gaither thinking, “if she’s involved, it must be good, she’s brilliant and we love her.” It was absolutely stunning. Let’s start with the writing. It’s as dazzling as anything we’ve seen in ten years. The concept was inspired, every character had unbelievable attention to detail, and there were so many hilarious ideas and moments we almost didn’t want to laugh, because if you laughed out loud you would miss the next funny line. And many funny lines were missed. Every actor was incredible. Putting it in words diminished the richness of the experience. I don’t want to give anything away except to say, they were all extraordinary. Every performance was delivered pitch perfect. Every character was luminous. And then there’s the directing…it’s beautifully, cleverly, and imaginatively staged, it goes a hundred miles an hour, and there was not a dull moment. Well done. Bravo! I’m telling everyone I know. I could see it again tomorrow and I hope you get quickly to the next stage.
