My overall impression
While I have had the pleasure of seeing Keaton Talmadge perform in the past, I never knew the true depth of her talent until I saw “define: Dif-fer-ent” this afternoon. A thoroughly entertaining journey that moves seamlessly from one story to another as she shares her real life experience. Honest and raw, in the course of one hour I laughed and cried; was moved and intrigued. The writing, by Keaton herself, was brilliant and beautifully lyrical, quick and witty. I had no idea she was as talented a writer as she is an actress. Perfectly directed by Kelleia Sheerin, I was transported, touched, affected, engaged, and heartbroken….all within the space of sixty minutes. I’m going to do everything I can to see it one more time….and you should too.
