My overall impression
HOT CAT is special. Blair Chandler is AMAZING, like, WOAH! Sooooooo stellar! The beauty and acrobatic nature of David Guerra’s physical work perfectly communicates Brick’s internal struggle. The choreography is inventive, specific and the directing is exquisite. The themes explored are timely and thought-provoking. The script could stand to lose 10 minutes of text to better streamline the throughline. A “must see” at the fringe this year!
