OMG! This was great. It helps if you're familiar with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof but not absolutely necessary. The choreography is incredible, and with their movement, the ensemble really tells the story. Blaire Chandler was just perfect as Big Mama: luminous, smiling, subservient, tragic. Absolutely captivating. It's not a happy story, but there are many funny moments in clever direction and choreography - the latter of which I just wanted MORE. I didn't love everything about the show, but overall, I loved the show. ...

Glad to see a movement-theatre piece that's compelling from start to finish. Fun, fascinating, with some excellent acting, most notably Blaire Chandler and David Guerra. Decisively directed with a strong and often moving script. On a scale of 1-10 it's an 8, so I wouldn't say I loved it, but it's pretty close and closer to that than the more average Liked It!...

This show was incredible! I absolutely love "cat on a hot tin roof," and I felt like this was a very spot on depiction of it. It was truly some of the most imaginative theater I've seen in a very long time. Especially in la. The cast was brilliant, script was brilliant, direction choreography and sound were all brilliant! Go see it. ...

Theatre Movement Bazaar does it again with another entertaining adaptation of classic theatre. I enjoyed the colorful and irreverent retelling of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and the performances were solid throughout. While not strong on story, the style is what makes this work and they have that in spades....

Really interesting exploration of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof. I was thankful I knew the play so well and couldn't help but wonder if it was confusing or lost on audience who didn't know the play at all, but some great ensemble work regardless. The stand out of the show was Blaire Chandler as Big Mama. Simply mesmerizing and so specific that it was hard to watch what else was happening on stage sometimes! My mind wandered at times and I feel like it could have been a little more grounded and cohesive, but I'm definitely glad I saw it. ...

Stop reading this review and make a plan to see this show NOW before it disappears. Superlatives are pointless; HOT CAT is wholly unique, like other Theatre Movement shows (TRACK 3, their must-see adaptation of THREE SISTERS, is being revived at the Bootleg for a few days in July en route to Edinburgh)....
