My overall impression
How often do you go to the theatre and look forward to every player? Each one of the Phycus troupe has moments of comic genius/madness – in the bigger roles and the the small – in some cases especially the small – the actors take risks that pay off – we start laughing as they come onstage. Much of the humor of course comes from the devices of the script – the weeping eye, the macbeths playing golf, releasing the dogs of war (woof), Juliet’s portable balcony, and her star crossed bulimia. But surprising in an enterprise such as this, is the fact that the play does not unravel, but goes to an extremely Shakespean ending with a nice twist.
Johan Apicella keeps everyone moving apace and has made the most of the space and his actors. See it soon!,!
