No Static at All is incredibly well written, thoroughly engaging and thought provoking. I laughed, I pondered life, I acquired a new appreciation for Steely Dan, but most importantly I wish the show lasted twice as long, I loved the storytelling that much. Alex catches and holds you in a magical game of cats cradle with his one man play, "No Static At All". I was mesmerized with his storytelling and thoroughly enjoyed feeling like, "this guy knows what he's doing"...and not caring that he knows...because he's doing it so well. Another reviewer mentioned something about seeing more vulnerability, and I could agree; saying this selfishly, of course, because being able to see even more of Alex would be delish. Alex Knox knows how to tell a great story. His relaxed and charming personality allow the audience to fully engage in a hour long tale of adventure, self-discovery, and faith. Though Knox's story doesn't end like you might want it to, and he doesn't allow a shift of his emotions on stage like other solo show performers do, it doesn't matter. He's a performer, and one that delivers everything he promises. If you want a relatable, fun mystery of sorts, this is the show for you. Alex Knox is an incredible, honest storyteller. This show was my favorite amongst the Fringe this year. I believe there is only one show left but if you can go see this show. You won't regret it. Personal, heartfelt and funny. You may even learn to love the 'Dan'.... full review
