Engaging performance by Alex Knox. This was funny, thought-provoking and poignantly familiar. A candid and clever look inside one man's experience with friendship, enlightenment and Steely Dan. Absolutely must see!...

Brilliantly written and superbly performed by Alex Knox, this is a story about friendship and the search for meaning in our lives. Alex pulls together disparate threads to weave a compelling tale that appeals to all and reveals profound truths along the way. Outstanding!!! If you can still get tickets, by all means GO!...

Really great show. Alex is a very good story teller. He is charismatic and dramatic while telling his story. In this one man play Alex finds similarities between his childhood friendship, the Torah and the band Steely Dan. Never a dull moment, very funny show. I highly recommend seeing it. ...

What starts out as a seemingly disconnected series of monologues evolves into a deftly-woven tapestry of music, religion and brothers from another mother (or, sometimes, what feels like another planet.)
Alex Knox's solo show highlights unusual connections. Although I share none of them (no familiarity with Knox or his friend Josh, no Jewish family ties, nor a long-standing fondness for Steely Dan) I found myself unexpectedly drawn to all three, with Knox's storytelling continually pulling me into the story.
I was won over especially when Knox lets lose in his life - and onstage - to the jukebox playing the title tune. In real life, he may have been watched by befuddled onlookers, but in the audience, it resonated with me. As with any...

Alex Knox takes you through a story that includes great music and great heart- like reading your favorite novel, or better yet, like having your favorite novel read to you by your favorite actor and set to your favorite soundtrack. Like that. ...

Oh Alex Knox, what is it like to be one of "those" people? He tells us he was "awkward" and "shy" in high school but I can't help but think he was still the Homecoming King. Charming, handsome and talented, Knox's writing is clear, funny and heart-felt. His acting is smart, entertaining, and filled with technique. Becca's directing is clear and simple. I laughed, I cried, I thought about the meaning of life - all on a Sunday afternoon. I don't know how anyone would not enjoy this show. I kept thinking about specific people I should send over right away to see it! His story is universal and his explorations are deep. My one constructive criticism, would be for Knox to "let go" a little more. I wanted more vulnerability from him. It was in th...

Truly amazing on multiple levels as it's well-written, compelling and beautifully performed. Also, nice to see a one-man show that has no reliance whatsoever on "schtick" - this is simply storytelling at its best. Alex Knox is at once intelligent, funny and vulnerable. Do yourself a favor and go see it!...
