My overall impression
had an hour to kill before a show at the complex and this one was “pay what you can”. i knew nothin about the show when i walked in to find a roller coaster car on stage- super cool. the guy was really funny when he threw up his hands and hollered and the girl looked super scared. i’m kind of scared of roller coasters too, so i understood where she was coming from, or so i thought. what a neat and unexpected idea. i really enjoyed that play.
the 2nd play was about a couple on a park bench in the dead of winter. i thought that the beginning was a bit slow but they had me rollin by the middle. such a funny situation well sold through expression. i loved the part when he was feeling her jacket.
the third play reminded me of an old tv sitcom, donna reed or something. the woman was a perfect stepford wife. i thought that the husband played a nice balance of modern or at least an attempt to be modern when permitted. i thought it was funny that she would only let him drink coke. i definitely did not expect the ending.
