Gloria Rosen's performance was riveting! I couldn't stop thinking about this piece long after the show ended. This one woman show captures what it is like growing up with deaf parents and the struggles and challenges it brings. Rosen effectively conveyed the hazards and challenges of being a hearing child surrounded by the deaf, a community that can be very cold to, and untrusting of, those who can hear. I felt her frustrations, her struggles, and her triumph as she was able to move on with her life, never forgetting the lessons her parents taught her.
Above all, this is a lesson in tolerance with those who are different, and an object lesson on making the best of whatever circumstance in which we find ourselves.
