My overall impression
Marie is a true star with this dynamic and delightful look into the life of a “porn star talent scout.” The arc of her one-woman show TRUE HUSTLE, mirrors the arc every young and ambitious individual goes through in their career; from hopeful to desperate to empowered to cynical and jaded her character tints all shades as she gets sucked into the world of ‘workin’ nine to five.’
The show ended too soon! I wanted it to keep going, to keep seeing the character struggle and grow. As Marie matures maybe there will be more life experiences to draw on for an evolved version of this fantastic production.
