I absolutely loved watching Bill tell us all about his family, about the machinations of the entertainment world, and all the hopes and dreams of the delightful young boy he was - all recounted to us by the equally delightful fellow he is now. This is storytelling at its best - moving from past to present and always holding our attention with the cast of characters he brings onstage that make you forget, after you leave, that they were not really present it was just one guy up there bringing them all to life! Bill is warm and inviting and as an audience member I felt privileged to be, for that night, a part of his world and his family.... full review

Bill is just hilarious. However, he can also pull at your heartstrings in such a nuanced way, that you won't realize he's doing it, because you're too busy laughing hysterically. I just wish there was still more comedy like this in the world. The acute cleverness of his writing delivered with his hilarious, almost slapstick-like physicality, and his incredibly expressive, booming voice, makes this such a unique gem of a show. A consummately hilarious, and truly touching show. ... full review

Despite the fact that there were many television references that I was unfamiliar with. I really liked this show. Bill Ratner has the perfect "Hollywood" announcer voice which seamlessly slides into and out of new characters throughout this story if his own first encounter with his once famous uncle. The story is compelling and leaves you wanting to know more about Mr. Ratners family. While my generation might not be as familiar with the backstory and history of the golden age if television, I took my grandmother who was and who thoroughly enjoyed this show. If you want to score some points, take grandma and grandpa out to see this show. They will be glad you did.... full review

This is my first Bill Ratner show and I am officially furious with myself for not having seen his last show Voices in my Head. The man is just so good at what he does. He is such an awesome, good hearted badass. I think Bobby would be proud of this show. What a tribute!!!!... full review

Bill is a storytelling MASTER. What's even more fun is how much you can tell he enjoys it. He paints a vivid picture with his voice. He transitioned seamlessly from character to character, with such fluidity, I forgot where I was and became completely engulfed in the story. Bill Ratner is the one to see when you see a One Man Show! Kudos, Bill, on such a GEM to the theater community! Laila Berzins VO Artist/Singer www.lailaberzins.com ... full review

Such a deeply affecting story. We've all had family members or friends like Bobby but none were so handsomely saluted. The music, the lighting, and the staging all work to present a wonderful, personal story that we can all find something of value in. Bill is a gifted story teller. ... full review
