The Real Housekeepers of Studio City

I walked into this show wanting to experience an hour of silly nostalgic escapist fun and that is EXACTLY what they gave me. The characters were bold, with dialogue written with a modern edge that transported them from our fond memories to the stage before us. The costumes were bright and impeccably authentic, and the musical numbers were light-hearted and hilarious. This is a risky show. It is what Fringe theater is all about. I only knew about half of the TV characters but I enjoyed the show very much. It was very funny and a little bit bawdy, but sweet. The songs and the costumes were tremendous, and the actors were very appealing. Great show!... full review

Saw the show on Sunday and it was the perfect antidote for those of us away from our loving Dads on Father's Day. Stand out performances were by Lorie Moore (Nell/Florence/Fresh Prince), Gabby Sanalitro (Rosey/Consuela), and Gina Torrecilla (Zoila/Alice). All three of them brought the house down. A great time for anyone who watched TV in the 70's or 80's. So much fun, so much fun music, so many great performances. Really, it's the type of high end production you don't expect to see at a Fringe Show. Highly recommended. ... full review
