A very creative blending of nostalgic sitcom television, pop-culture reality tv & live musical theater. An hour of complete fun!...

As soon as I started reading the premise for this show I knew it would be entertaining but, it wasn't only that it was well executed too. The actors do a great Job with their roles, each and everyone is a scene stealer you just keep thinking who's going to come through the door next? That is the brilliance in the Book of the show they stay just a step a head of the audience so we get to play the game along with the actors. The arrangements of the songs, style changes and lyrics went beautifully together. There is an "Awesometastic" show here in the making I would see it now before prices sky rocket! I'd say if you like musicals even a little or are any kind of TV buff you will enjoy this show...

The Real Housekeepers of Studio City is a clever, fun piece of musical theater. I'm still singing "Shake, Shimmy, and Groove It" a week later. The 60 minute show is jam packed with humorous songs and a breezy nostalgia that doesn't get too sentimental, too self-aware, or too proud of itself. The show just wants to be fun, and it succeeds wildly. While the entire cast is strong, Gabby Sanalitro is the standout as both Rosie and Consuela. Her spot-on impressions and comedic timing are indispensable, and I hope she is part of the show in its future runs. Lorie Moore also delivers strong performances as Florence and Nell. The show has a blast with it's upbeat, comedic songs, but its few slow serious songs seem a little bland in comparison....

A clever concept turned into a genius musical show. Funny, toe tapping, catchy songs beautifully executed by a talented cast. Surprises with each housekeeper interview. One interview in particular left me leaving the theater wanting a spin off with a certain housekeeper duo.

Was a wonderful toe tapping palate cleanser after some of the more intense productions. The cast is perfectly directed
as a unit with great timing, strong musical comedy voices, and even inventive choreography that makes a small space seem even bigger. Very clever dialogue, and a trip into TV Land make for a very fun experience. We totally enjoyed it....

The cast is talented and committed. The music is fine if not particularly noteworthy. The plot is a good enough structure upon which to hang TV references and parodies. This really was a case of "not my thing." Having not watched that much TV, I didn't get / care about the cleverness of the references and didn't find the story strong enough to engage me throughout. If you dig Nick at Nite and classic sitcoms, you'll probably enjoy this much more than I did. On a purely technical level, there also were moments that the recorded tracks overwhelmed the actors' singing. I'm guessing that this will be ironed out since I saw the show in preview....

This show is a wonderful experience. The music, lyrics and story are very smart, funny and toe-tapping. Each of the actors did a fine job re-creating what we know about these icons of TV.
If I were to criticize anything about this show, though, it would be this. I thought that the children were under-used, obnoxious and I felt they were more like props than characters. There was one song, "Don't you dare" which felt to me as a bit of a "jumping the shark" moment. I felt it slowed down the momentum. Similarly, the "Crazy Bird" number seemed to go on a bit too long and I felt "Consuela" was underused.
In praise I couldn't help but included the characterization of "Mrs. Garrett." I wanted MORE. The song, words and performance were side-...

Great fun show. Superbly directed and executed by a cast of pros. It was just the medicine I needed after an intense day of "fringin" and I was so engaged. Don't miss out on this gem. It is a delight and the voices, choreography and ensemble energy will definitely create nostalgia for a simpler time. Bravo!...

There's a lot here to love for those of who grew up watching shows in perpetual syndication. The references come fast and thick, from the 60's to the present day, so there's something for everyone. It's astounding that they've been able to assemble a cast so perfectly suited to these iconic characters who can act and sing and sell it all so well. The family that is the core of the story is also wonderfully written and portrayed. Well worth checking out!...
