Truly awesome! Go see this.
EXORCISTIC is my favorite of the 10 or so Fringe shows i've seen thus far.
I'll admit to some concern going in - i have seen an awful lot of lame "parodies" - within 5 minutes i realized, "Wait - this is a REAL MUSICAL!"
Michael Shaw Fisher is a young writer to keep an eye on: the book and lyrics are clever and funny, and the music is excellent. And he is good in the show (writers in their own shows tend to be another red flag, but not this time.)
The entire cast make up a truly fantastic ensemble... but extra special mention must be made of Laura Sperrazza, who, as "Megan" is a force of nature and a special effect all on her own. It felt to me like they must have had more rehearsal time than most other show...

Nothing is off limits with Orgasmico Theatre Company, but that's a good thing and it's particulary evident in their new show EXORCISTIC: THE ROCK MUSICAL PARODY EXPERIMENT. Laura Sperrazza shines as Megan, the little girl possessed by the demon we're all probably familiar with - and let me just say - SHE IS A STAR just waiting to be discovered. Does all that ma...

Absolutely loved it! I went to this show on a whim, having never seen the exorcist, and was totally enthralled the entire time. The production moves along seamlessly, tackling seemingly impossible film special effects onstage. I laughed so hard my sides hurt!...

I went into this with high expectations and to be honest, was disappointed. Truthful opinion is that I was over the obscenities within the first 15 minutes. It was too much and I believe that they could have came up with a much more creative way at approaching the material as to not have overwhelmed us with so many toilet jokes. It was hilarious at first but it was short lived as they just kept rolling in. It lost its punch too fast.
The actors were very invested and were having fun which was the only saving grace. The band did the performers no favors and neither did all of the screeching feedback that reeked havoc on our ear drums....

Why? There was no there there. okay for a late night bar show, but not solid enough to stand on its own, despite a few funny bits and an outstanding performance by Laura Sperrazza. ...
