A powerhouse musical parody that's full of high energy, humor and knock-put performances. This show is destined to be a hit at this year's Fringe. Personally, I can't watch horror films or psychological thrillers because they fuck with my head too much, so I'm only culturally familiar with Exorcist the book/movie. Coming to a parody of a piece I'm not familiar with always makes me skeptical, but there was enough humor and liveliness in this show that I stayed entertained throughout. The performances overall are pretty first rate, although the ladies outshine the men, particularly in the case of the possessed girl, Laura Sperrazza who's commitment, energy, and crazed sex appeal will probably be one of the best performances at this year's enti... full review

This show is a non stop thrill. You would expect a great show with Michael Shaw Fisher's hilarious lyrics and catchy music in joint forces with Michael Teoli's full and rich orchestrations and rocking live band led by the ringmaster general himself, Pat Towne. What you get instead is an amazeballs show with some of LA Theatre's most talented performers and vocalists. Talent I was introduced to through this production for the first time was Laura Sperazza, who is rock goddess whom I am now a forever fan of. She goes from the cute 12 1/2 year old Regan... no Megan... no wait... is it Laura... to the embodiment of Janis Joplin meets Pink. Curt Bonnem and his multiple memorable characters are not surprisingly hilarious and versatile but also hea... full review

Gorgeous! The music is catchy, the lyrics are subversive and hilarious, the play is perfect. I could not ask for a more entertaining night. ... full review

I don't usually love musicals but this was more of a hilarious rock show. This was my second fringe show and WHAT WILD EXPERIENCE! Exorcistic may be darker and more obscene than the rest, but as a musical celebration of the EXORCIST, I expect nothing less. Also I liked that it is highly original and strays from the parody style we've come to expect. I loved the presence of the live band, the eerie harmonies and the kickbutt fearlessness of the performers.. I had heard before that Laura Sperrazza "as Megan" was something divine to experience and indeed she was a devilish revelation. I would say this: if you want a zany and somewhat nasty good-time-parody of the film that is more funny than scary, you will come out beaming like I did:) ... full review

I went to this show having not seen the Exorcist. With it being a parody, it was recommended to me to see it. But I'm glad I didn't force myself to sit through the movie, cause I didn't have to. :) The show stands on it's own and has it's own story to tell. I absolutely loved the music and the cast is fantastic, Laura Sperrazza especially.... full review

I didn't enjoy the humor or music. I would really love to see a great musical parody of the Exorcist but this is not it. I thought the jokes fell flat thoughout the show and the story was weak. ... full review

Michael Shaw Fisher's EXORCISTIC: THE ROCK MUSICAL tornadoes the shingles off the roof. Voluptuous, catchy vocals pack every inch of this phantasmagoric ride. Laura Sperrazza spits performance from every pore. EXORCISTIC is a consciously campy love affair with one of the greatest horror films of all time. At the same time, amidst the hard-rock ridiculousness, it's a meta commentary on the playwriting biz... the aspirations and challenges of indie creators who seek to propel their stories to a bigger stage. Although much of the plot relies on viewers having previously seen The Exorcist and being infinitely familiar with the urban legends that flank it, the music wallops. You'll leave the theater with songs thumping in your ears. An... full review

SEE THIS SHOW! It has all the glitter and nastiness I hoped for in an Exorcist rock musical and the songs were super clever. We saw this show a week ago and my girlfriend and I are still laughing about it and singing the songs. Exorcistic is a real treat for Exorcist fans everywhere. Highly recommended for a good time.... full review
