Nazim Hikmet was a world famous Turkish poet, a romantic revolutionary venerated as one of the best of the 20th century. He was imprisoned for his views on life and politics. His love of his countrymen, of Istanbul, of his language, and the love of his life, Piraye,kept him going through it all.

The ledge is a scary place because we feel alive, and that all could come crashing down at any moment. This is the story of two people on that ledge and the past that still has a grip on them hindering the fall as well as pushing them towards it.

Based on the book “40 Crazy Years of Friendship” by Richard Hulse, this story is of one man's journey in dealing with the unexpected death of his best friend. They are reunited in the best friend's burnt condo to take a walk down the path of remembrance and reconciliation to the demons within.
