I'll be the first to admit that my interest in this show centered around their flyer, showing some serious boobs. But once I got to meet the cast, especially Tay Allyn, at the Fringe Opening Night party, I knew I had to see the show. Glad I came! I don't remember my 20's being that much fun or dramatic, but I do remember my daughter's years were. The show captures that coming of age time when you're finally free from school and your parents, but facing the reality that you are now responsib... full review

THE OTHER F WORD

A very entertaining and enlightening experiment in stage technique, similar to the movie Vantage Point. The same focus group meeting is discussed by four very diverse characters whose opinions are polar opposites . . . or are they? Many funny and reflective moments. By the way, the other F word - Fabulous!... full review

Other than Jack Zullo, I was not impressed with the cast. Long form improv is difficult on a good day, and this was definitely not a good day. It started going downhill when they somehow changed the activity of "tweeting" to a discussion of "tweeds." Better luck next time.... full review

Me Love Me

Watched the show with Aaron Lyons. Neither one of us could help but smile at the crazy antics on stage, or cringe at the series of bad mistakes Tuck makes. Brandon has crafted a winner and brought in a cast that was up to the challenge of his complex script. Check it out for yourself - but leave your inhibitions at home.... full review

Finding Elizabeth Taylor

I met Elizabeth in a random moment between shows, and was struck by her charm and charisma. I immediately got tickets to see this show, and am so glad I did. I don't know what I expected, but I can tell you I was very satisfied. Elizabeth has spent her whole life carrying the burden of a famous name, but has risen to the challenge. Her performance was funny, sad, but most of all, relatable, as she recounted her experiences in her journey to find Elizabeth Taylor. Don't miss this show.... full review

As a lover of her work last year as the director of Red Bastard, I simply HAD to see this show. Deanna is a character, and that character must be experienced to be truly understood. This was a remarkable piece of theater, sort of like a foreign language immersion course. Almost everyone in the audience was drawn into this interaction show, and turned in quite incredible improv performances themselves. Don't miss this limited run - you'll be kicking yourself if you do.... full review

Akynos is a woman who truly knows who she is, and that comes out strongly in this show. Her talent as a burlesque dancer is undeniably, and her routines were far and above the best I have ever seen. I didn't know what to expect from this show, but I'm glad I took the chance to check it out. Unfortunately, I attended her final show at this year's Fringe, but hopefully she will be back. If she does come back, don't miss the chance to catch her act.... full review

NOT ANOTHER TEEN SOLO SHOW

Armed with my NATSS slap bracelet, I entered this show with much anticipation. Like Craig Shaynak with his I Am Google show, Rati was a marketing genius, spending many hours networking with other Fringe participants as well as walking among the audiences of Preview Week. Her work paid off with a pair of sold out shows to start her run. Speaking of the show, it was a hoot. I laughed to hide the tears as she hit home run after home run on the things most of us worried about in high school - p... full review

If You're Watching This, I'm Dead.

Lisa Cole is a witty storyteller with a distinct delivery. Her primary vehicle was the camcorder, as she "recorded" a message for her family to see at some point in the future. Her stories were relatable as most of us have suffered similar fates. Cole has a great "on-screen" appearance and reminds me of a young Sally Field, with her cute dimples and huge smile. I left the theater happier than when I entered. Thanks for a job well done!... full review

Down In Front

The best part about this show was the performance of the two lead actors, especially their ability to make neurosis look like an Olympic sport and to convey just the right amount of angst and self-loathing that was appropriate at the time. It is a unique combination that worked. On the technical side, it was a little ridiculous starting almost 20 mins late and then having the show run over. I know this is the Fringe and stuff happens, but that's the exact reason why you have to strive so har... full review
