THE CONDUCT OF LIFE

Much like Friends Like These, The Conduct of Life shows the progression from victim to perpetrator. It depicts that a victim who is pushed too far can all too easily turn violent. As such, the play contains explicit depictions of rape and violence and is NOT suitable for children.

Billed as a mash-up of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and HBO's Girls, Women is a farcical and hilarious romp through a classic piece of literature, much like A Knight's Tale did with Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

I have been a fan of Ratner since I first met him three years ago. He has been a voice over artist for 45 years and his past two offerings at Fringe have been smashing successes. Obviously, I had high hopes and expectations for his latest production. Sadly, it did not deliver. Check out the rest of the review at Examiner.com.

Friends Like These is a MUST SEE production that could very well save your life or the life of your kids. It is timely and relevant, and so very much appreciated. Thank you Theatre Unleashed and Gregory Crafts for bringing this amazing work to the Fringe - you may have provided the cure to a problem that affects far too many of us. I have been a fan of the musical and movie Best Little Whorehouse in Texas all my life, and have been lucky enough to see both. Although I never saw the Broadway play, I did see a rousing production of it in Palm Springs a few years ago. As for the movie, I have seen it a multitude of times and have the DVD and soundtrack. To get the chance to see a show about the writer of this wonderful musical and to learn about the back story was a dream come true.

Paul Hoan Ziedler has written an impressive script that is truly brought to life by his brilliant direction and an amazing cast. I felt Jimmy's pain, understood Chuck's misguided attempt to help his friend, and even forgave Brandon's betrayal. This play moves you, and leaves you in a different place than when you first entered the theater. See the rest of the review at Examiner.com.
