Shakespeare(ish) is so full of energy, humor, creativity and smarts, that I wish I liked it more than I did. I prefer a more linear story as opposed to a hodgepodge of skits and bits. However, the music is good, the cast is talented, and the props, masks and costume pieces are often ingenious. Though I prefer two other shows by Rogue Artists Ensemble (D is for Dog, and HYPERBOLE:Origins), I think others will enjoy Shakespeare(ish) more than I....

Though often amusing and occasionally laugh-out-loud funny, Spiderpocalypse is unfortunately not as good as the image on the flyer. The set, or rather lack of one, is ugly. Some of the actors took care of themselves and made sure they had decent costumes, but most did not. Lighting and sound cues were missed, and other technical aspects fell short of the desired effect, resulting in a creeping sense of lameness.
