Ed Goodman's Ol' Timey Brainwash

benjamin nicholson · June 16, 2019 certified reviewer
After a thorough washing of my brain, I now have the psychological clarity to confirm: Ed Goodman is not only ol' timey, but good timey; Ed Goodman is, in fact, a good man. Also, this is the best solo play ever written because it allowed me to hold a fake gun to Ed's head for 5 minutes, after which the audience demanded I pull the trigger.... full review

Funeral Potatoes

Perfectly succinct, Funeral Potatoes gives you just enough to both emotionally invest in the characters of the play and to realize that the experiences depicted can and likely will occur in your life in one form or another; navigates discourses of death that, while providing no 'answers', encourage you to begin asking questions we too often avoid.... full review

Johnathan's life story gives him every excuse to be miserable, but he chooses to find humor and joy in his difficult circumstances; drug abuse, neglect, psychological disorders, and disability are rarely handled with such thoughtfulness, let alone humor... full review

Made for Each Other

benjamin nicholson · June 11, 2019 certified reviewer
John's solo portrayal of four distinct characters was a joy to experience; each was complicated in their own way. Monica's script addressed the gamut of human emotions and, while it offered no definitive answers to questions of mortality and love, it suggested that it's okay to do the best we can.... full review
